Service and Maintenance

As a long established company in the field Mechanical Building Services, The James Mercer Group Ltd has expanded its maintenance operations and currently provides a responsive and cost effective service across the North West of England.

Operating within a 90 mile radius from head office in Preston the Service Division works for Private Industry, Local Authorities and Health Authorities.

A call handling system is used for logging all calls and also provides a comprehensive record and service history for all works undertaken.

Calls are taken via its own dedicated switchboard, which is fully manned by experienced staff under the supervision of Service Manager and departmental Director.

In particular we can offer routine service, planned maintenance attention to breakdowns on a wide range of Building Services and equipment, including the following: -

  • Heating and Hot Water Plant and Equipment
  • Heating Pipework Services
  • Hot and Cold Water Pipework Services
  • Plumbing Services, Sanitary ware, Soil and Waste Pipework
  • Gas and Oil Distribution Systems
  • Extract Fans and Ventilation Systems
  • Air Conditioning Systems
  • Gas Catering Equipment

All our service engineers are can provide a rapid response to breakdown situations. Each engineer operates from a fully equipped vehicle, which carries spares, and materials selected to cope with most common repair requirements.

We also operate a 24 hour fully manned emergency call out service 365 days a year with    on-call engineers.
